The amount of open discrimination against Roma doesn’t really compare to anything in America. 37% of people in Scotland, a famously progressive country, would be pissed if their releative married a Roma, and 48% if one became a schoolteacher.   2. Racism in Europe has an interesting spread with Czechia being seen as the most racist but Slovenia and Serbia being the least. This shows that attitudes are not simply tied to wider entities e.g. Warsaw Pact. Environmental racism is unfortunately too common across Europe and the world in general.
