Czech and the Beer

  1. Today, on 28th October, Czechs and Slovaks celebrate 100 years of independent Czechoslovak state. Being a Czech, I have decided to make a comic about my country’s greatest friend and companion in history to celebrate this anniversary in some way.

This year are other remembered other three 19×8 years, less happy than Czechoslovak independence in 1918. These are:

    1938: Munich agreement

    1948: Communists gain power

    1968: Invasion of Warsaw Pact

  2. Let me share what I know about Pivo.

There was a point in time where Czech Ironworkers could drink massive mugs of beer to keep them hydrated on the job. I don’t know if this is still allowed, however.

Budvar Budweis is the original Budweiser and has spent a ton of money to keep Budweiser off European shelves because they see their beer as a cheaply made imitation.

Some Czech people like to joke that their beer is what keeps their currency afloat, and will take a coin and float it on the head of the beer to prove it.

If you want to try a Czech style of beer, I’d recommend a Pilsner. Pilsner Urquell is a great one, so long as it’s canned or in a minikeg.

    Cheers.
